Verdubbeling in omvang

Met de acquisitie verdubbelt econic in zes maanden tijd zijn workforce tot 140 energiespecialisten, van wie meer dan 50 zelfstandige installatiemonteurs die in heel Nederland opereren. eforce zal binnen de econic-groep als zelfstandige organisatie opereren en behoudt het unieke B2B2C-model en de bestaande partners van Guidion, maar voegt daar de installatiewerkzaamheden voor econic aan toe. De ambitie van eforce is om binnen drie jaar de grootste installateur van zonnepanelen in Nederland te worden met ruim 20.000 installaties per jaar in zowel de nieuwbouw- als de bestaande markt en zo de energietransitie aanzienlijk te versnellen. Guidion gaat zich vanaf nu meer focussen op de gestandaardiseerde en technisch minder complexe diensten in en om het huis.

Strategie van overnames en autonome groei

econic voert al langer een strategie om zijn marktpositie in verschillende landen en marktsegmenten te versterken. Dat gebeurt door autonome groei, maar ook door overnames. In een halfjaar tijd nam het bedrijf drie (internationale) bedrijven over. Joris Jonker, een van de oprichters van econic, licht de nieuwe overname toe: ”Zonnepanelen zijn, naast de warmtepomp, een belangrijk onderdeel van de energietransitie. Voor ons was het dan ook niet meer dan vanzelfsprekend om een groot bedrijf gespecialiseerd in zonne-energie aan ons netwerk toe te voegen. Met deze aankoop hebben we meteen het grootste en beste landelijk dekkende installateursnetwerk van Nederland aan de groep toegevoegd. De slimme processen en IT-systemen van eforce zijn nu schaalbaar en afgestemd op hoge volumes en sluiten daardoor perfect aan op onze ambitie om de energietransitie te versnellen.”

econic scores big with Guidion solar energy division takeover
One month following the strategic acquisition of Germany’s Home.ON-team, econic today announced it will be taking over all of Guidion’s solar panel activities. The solar energy division of one of the Netherlands’ largest installation companies will continue under the name eforce. The takeover enables the company to install thousands of solar panel installations per month, a feat only very few companies in the Netherlands are capable of.

Doubled in size

Through this acquisition, econic has doubled its workforce to 140 energy specialists, of whom over 50 are independent installation technicians operating throughout the Netherlands, in six months’ time. eforce will operate as an independent organisation within the econic-group, and will retain Guidion’s unique Business to Business to Consumer-model and existing partners, while adding the installation activities for econic to its tasks. eforce aspires to become the largest installer of solar panels in the Netherlands within 3 years, with over 20,000 residential installations per year in both new and existing builds – thereby accelerating the energy transition substantially. As of now, Guidion will be shifting its focus to standardised and less technically complex services in and around the home.

Strategy of takeovers and autonomous growth

For some time now, econic has been implementing a strategy for reinforcing its market position in various countries and market segments. This is achieved through autonomous growth as well as takeovers. In six months’, the company has taken over three (international) businesses. Joris Jonker, one of econic’s founders, elaborates on the new takeover: “In addition to the heat pump, solar panels are an important part of the energy transition. Therefore, we felt it was only natural to add a major business specialising in solar energy to our network. This acquisition means we have immediately supplemented the group with the Netherlands’ largest network of installation technicians and the network with the best national coverage. eforce’s smart processes and IT-systems are now scalable and equipped for high volumes, making them perfectly suited to our ambitions to accelerate the energy transition.”
